Business Development Executive
Plymouth
Salary of up £45,000 + OTE 

I’m currently working with a growing business in the commercial interiors sector who are looking to bring in a Business Development Executive to support their continued expansion. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, spotting new opportunities, and playing a key role in driving business growth within the workspace and fit-out market. 

The role:
You’ll be responsible for generating and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities, working closely with the wider team to convert leads into projects. The position will involve engaging with key decision-makers, understanding client needs, and helping position the business within a competitive market. 

Key responsibilities include:
  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities within commercial fit-out and interiors
  • Building relationships with stakeholders such as business owners, property professionals, and facilities managers
  • Carrying out market research to identify trends and potential clients
  • Managing and updating activity through CRM systems
  • Working towards and exceeding targets and KPIs
  • Supporting the development of business growth strategies
  • Providing regular updates on pipeline and market activity
  • Keeping up to date with industry trends and competitor activity
Requirements:
  • Experience in business development, sales, or account management (ideally within construction, fit-out, or interiors)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with a commercial mindset
  • Confident presenting and engaging with clients
  • Well organised with strong time management skills
  • Comfortable working in a target-driven environment
  • A team player who can collaborate across departments
