Civil Engineering Main Contractor
Permanent position
Tunnelling Project NW Wales.
An opportunity has been created for a Senior QS to work on a unique and challenging project located in Wales’ largest National Park.
The project aims to construct a new Tunnel, which will house pipelines, communication and power lines to preserve the natural beauty of the landmark.
As an organisation they currently undertake some of the UKs most iconic projects to include HS2, Hinkley Point C and Crossrail. Currently operating across a number of sectors to include Highways, Rail, Construction and Build with offices across South Wales, Somerset and Devon.
As the appointed Surveyor you will provide commercial support to the project team, maintaining commercial information and ensuring compliance with contractual requirements. Reporting to the Commercial Manager you will be based on site.
Demonstrable Experience:
- QS related Degree or equivalent HND / HNC
- CSCS Card
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel
- Experience in providing commercial support to design and consulting and/or highways contracts (especially under NEC forms)
- Experience of successful main contract management
- Experience in supply chain procurement, management and accounting
- Appreciation of the records, approaches and options for dispute resolution
- Experience in commercial and financial budgeting and reporting
On offer is a base salary of up to 60k + Car allowance option of up to £5k.
